In Berlin is film noir in a comic book. The narrator is a murderer, con-artist and thief who tells us about his life and the attempts of different types of detective to catch him. The comic weaves together the anti-hero’s feelings about the album Berlin by Lou Reed, his attitudes towards the women he has known, his complex feelings towards his brother and the urgent hunt by a police detective, a superhero, a pathologist and an armchair sleuth to track him down and bring him to justice.

In Berlin is about how hard it is to find meaning in life, the mundane realities of glamour and how our lives are nothing but tissues of memory, fantasy and quotation. Above all else it is exciting, action packed and provocative.
